Lignocellulolytic Microbial Systems and its Importance in Dye Decolourization: A Review

چکیده
Effluents containing dyes from different industrial sectors pose a serious threat to the environment. Different physicochemical strategies are being carried out in industry reduce toxicity of dye-containing waste so that dye-mixed wastewater can be further utilized agriculture or irrigation purposes water-scarce areas. But those techniques economically not feasible. There is an alternative mechanism present biological systems biocatalysts which eco-friendly, low cost, and sustainable. Lignin peroxidase, Laccase, Manganese peroxidase oxidoreductase classes enzymes with ligninolytic ability potential for degradation environmental toxicants like dyes. Besides enzymes, cellulase, pectinase also powerful candidates dye decolourization. Most interestingly these found variety microbial monoculture as well mixed consortia. The consortia able organic load effluent at higher rate rather than monoculture. This article critically reviews efficacy lignocellulolytic decolourization by both approaches. In addition, this review discusses genetically metabolically engineered contribute put forward some future approaches enhancement removal efficacy.
